Healthy Black Pregnancies' purpose is
to improve birth outcomes for native born African American parents, by
addressing some of the largest risks to healthy births—low birth weight, and
cultural, community, and family challenges. We provide access to Integrated
Care, including health, housing, social services, chemical
dependency Family-Oriented Services: outreach, drop-in moms’ meetings,
father programs/services, storytelling, screenings, care planning, referrals
& follow-ups.
This new program, CollegeBound Saint
Paul, will help provide a pathway to a brighter future for both families and the
city. The purpose of the program is to connect families and their children to
early childhood resources as well as financial education and tools to be
financially healthy.
Children and families will have the opportunity to receive more money in
their accounts through bonuses. They can earn bonuses by logging into the
Savings Portal for the first time, reaching milestones, participating in early
childhood programs, and using financial capability resources provided by the
City and community organization partners.
Little Moments Count is a statewide movement to help parents and the community
understand the importance of talking, playing, reading and singing early and
often with children. They are a collaborative of organizations working to help
increase parent and community interaction with babies and children.
Leap Pediatric and Adolescent Care provides primary care for babies, children,
and young adults so they can be healthy, thrive, and leap forward.
The Women's Economic Security Act (WESA) strengthens workplace protections and
flexibility for pregnant and lactating employees, expands employment
opportunities for workers in high-wage, high-demand occupations and reduces the
gender pay gap through increased enforcement of equal pay laws.

The Doula Pathway Toolkit serves as a comprehensive manual for doulas, providing guidance on preparing for the Minnesota registry via the Department of Human Services. It offers a detailed, step-by-step process for doulas to accurately bill for their services.
Gentle Postpartum Recovery is committed to assisting high-risk pregnant BIPOC mothers during their postpartum period. The program, based in Ramsey County, provides 4 (four) weeks of extensive doula support, two weeks of nutritious meals, essential referrals, and advice on postpartum support, pediatric check-ups, and parenting tools. If you're a doula serving high-risk mothers, consider incorporating this program as a valuable resource for your clients.

We are now recruiting families for our FREE Family Spirit Home Visiting Program. This program provides home visits / hybrid telehealth services from our certified health educators. This program is available to Black and Native expectant mothers and parenting families in Ramsey County with children under the age of one.
