Healthy Black Pregnancies

Healthy Black Pregnancies (HBP) is a key partner in our work. Together we are a culturally specific pregnancy care collaborative working to improve birth outcomes through advocacy, education, health planning, and community engagement.

Ultimately, we are people serving people. We are a team. We are board members, advocates, health professionals, and colleagues. We know the communities we serve and the many factors that can affect African American parents before and during their pregnancies. Along with our team, we have local and national resources to assist with overall pregnancy health and many issues along the way.

Iya Empowerment Circle at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center, Inc.

NorthPoint's Healthy Black Pregnancy program is a resource for pregnant African Americans and parents with small children. The program, for U.S. born African Americans, provides access to a culturally-focused personal care navigator and community resources to help guide families through the health care system during pregnancy. Family programs host performing arts, speakers, documentaries, and other activities to prepare families for healthy pregnancies and births.
