In Minnesota, African American and American Indian mothers have low access to high-quality prenatal care and experience racial discrimination when interacting with the healthcare and social services systems. The compounding effects of lack of access to high-quality care and discrimination by care providers contributes negatively to both maternal and infant health outcomes. Our families are suffering due to the failure of the healthcare system.
AABC & Projects provides training, education,
events, and resource distribution focused on building the capacity of health systems in
Minnesota to provide culturally sensitive and high quality maternal and infant care to Black
and Brown families.
With your support, AABC will be able to advance our mission to reduce racial disparities
in infant and maternal health in Minnesota and promote healthy child development.
