CALLING ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN!!!
Living Room & Kickin’ It Conversations Training
Who: Living Room and Kickin’ It Hosts are African Americans, ages 17 years and older, who are passionate about the healthy development of our babies. For this training, we are looking for African American males to join our first ever all-male cohort of Conversation Hosts!
What: A FREE two-day training where participants learn about and discuss various topics, including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES’s), Historical Trauma, Facilitating, and more! After the training , participants who complete two community conversations will also receive a $150 stipend. When & Where: Friday, Sept. 25th & Saturday, Sept. 26th from 9am-4pm in St. Paul (exact location giv-en after registration).
Why: African American men play a critical role in the development of our youth. Unhealthy babies become unhealthy adults! As the fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, and loved ones of these babies, we must address the impact of trauma and stress on their health, celebrate healthy parenting practices, and decondition ourselves from unhealthy practices.
